Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add ¼ cup chopped onion and cook for 5 minutes.
Add ½ pound sliced mushrooms, 1 small chopped jalapeno pepper, 1 clove minced garlic, and ½ teaspoon turmeric.
Mix well and cook over medium heat 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and cook 5 additional minutes.
