“How did that get in my Lunchbox?” School Tours at Beriswill’s Corn Maze

Available Dates: September 14 to October 27, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Price: $7 per person; 1 Teacher/Adult admitted free for each 15 students Duration: Organized activities – approximately 1 hour;
Time in corn maze and other games – ½ hour or more
Includes: Discussion and activities based on the book, “How did that get in my Lunchbox”.
Objectives: The students will learn about how various food items are produced on a farm from seed to lunchbox. (1/2 hour)
Corn maze and slides, other games available at maze (1/2 hour) Groups are welcome to stay longer if accompanied by chaperones.
Students will take home with them: Pie pumpkin

Age Groups: Pre-school – 5th grade Common Core components:
Mathematics: Measurement and Data: Students will discuss sequencing in the production of food items
English / Language Arts: Students will learn new vocabulary words
Bring: Snack or lunch if you like; we’ll have water in thermos’ to drink
Shoes and jackets appropriate for the weather – remember, the corn maze is a field of corn (dress for the weather today and for the conditions of the last couple of days)
